What we do...
Transmissions are stripped down with an industrial clean of the gearbox casings. Components are cleaned, inspected and re-assembled to the correct standard. Friction material such as the brake bands & clutch plates will be replaced with new where required.
The most common failure to occur within Borg Warner Automatic Transmissions is the friction material. Clutch plates and brake bands will inevitably wear away to a point where the transmission will start to slip and lose drive altogether. The photos above provide examples of new and worn friction material, 'left to right'.
Seals, gaskets and 'o'rings will be replaced where required. All components including brake bands are correctly calibrated to factory specification with operation tested for leaks.
All reconditioned gearboxes are calibrated and tested using Churchill specialist tools.
We offer a competitive price for Borg Warner Gearbox Reconditioning. Gearboxes can be received and delivered via a pallet at a fee or collection can be arranged in person.
We provide informative advice and assistance to diagnose faults with your gearbox which can be done via telephone conversation. Fitment instructions can be provided too.
Gearboxes are fairly easy to install if you are a competent mechanic. However, correct oil grade, oil level and kickdown cable adjustment crucial to give smooth operation.
In the unlikely event of failure, the gearbox will be covered under a full 12 month guarantee from date of sale. The unit will have to be returned back to the workshop by yourself.
